Ubuntu One brings unofficial AirPlay support to iPhone
This is kinda interesting…. Ubuntu One, Ubuntu’s cloud storage locker service with music purchase and multi-device sync support, is now AirPlay capable, thanks to iOS 4.2. What that means, essentially, is that Ubuntu One Music (part of Ubuntu One Mobile) can stream your cloud-stored MP3s directly to an AirPlay compatible ... Continue Reading

It was announced this morning that Novell has sold off some portion of its intellectual properties to CPTN Holdings, (backed by Microsoft) for $450 million. The remainder of Novell assets will be acquired by Attachmate Corporation for about $2.2 billion. This should be of no surprise as Novell staked a ... Continue Reading

Opera 11 alpha released to the public
Windows/Mac/Linux: Opera's letting us have a look at how extensions will work in their browser with the Opera 11 Alpha. It's very Chrome-like and convenient, and the browser itself has picked up a few improvements in this version, too. But first: the extensions. You grab them from Opera's gallery, which had ... Continue Reading

Toshiba’s Tegra 2-powered Android Smart Pad to be called Folio 100

About: Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated with electronics and not much has changed today. I think it was all the Science Fiction I was exposed to growing up. Over the years I have become more fascinated with mobile electronics. Some of my favorites were iPaq Pocket PC's, HP T-1100 Tablet PC, and the Motorola Star-Tac. (Good Times) I am also addicted to smartphones much to my wife and bank accounts displeasure. BlackBerry Storm 1 & 2, Tour and Bold 2 have been replaced by HTC Eris, HTC Droid Incredible, and the Samsung Vibrant. I am very excited for the Android Tablets arriving soon, especially the Galaxy Tab. I met my fellow founders of TechXplosion through a BlackBerry site with a Bad Attitude and wanting more, we created TechXplosion to cover all tech stories world wide. I hope to be posting stories and reviewing products forever as I will be a Cyborg someday........unless the Mayans turn out to be correct. :)See Authors Posts (540)

The publication has published new renders -- including a dock peripheral -- and some purported specs. Here's what's being said: Android 2.2, NVIDIA ... Continue Reading

According to this report, the malware-compromised code was included in the official Gentoo distribution: Would you consider it to be a big deal if it was found in a distribution? Gentoo just released an update to remove the backdoor. http://packages.gentoo.org/package/net-irc/unrealircd I’m ... Continue Reading
